I’ve made this blanket around 17 or 18 times! It was the most requested colourway when I used to make to order. I actually prefer bright, bold colours myself so I’m not sure what made me put these colours together when I made the first one.
I’ve called this combo Chloe because to me it’s an ultra pretty palette and Chloe is a very pretty name so it suits it perfectly :)
I used the following shades……
Stylecraft Special DK
- Stone
- Cream
- Pale Rose
- Duck Egg
- Soft Peach
I made granny circles, squared them off and joined them as I went along giving the blanket a patchwork look.
How to ‘join squares as you go’
I finished it off with a scalloped edging in cream

I used to make lots of matching soft toys too! Since Brexit though and the EU safety regs changing a few times since I decided not to continue making soft toys as having gone through all the testing and paperwork once it seemed like the ideal time to review my business and bow out of this corner of the crochet marketplace. I was taking on less and less commissions through choice at that time and it just wasn’t something I wanted to continue with.
If you do make soft toys with a view to selling them make sure you carry out the relevant safety testing to obtain the UKCA mark for your makes. Selling without doing this is breaking the law. This Facebook group can help you

Most of the soft toys I used to make were my own design however you can find a similar giraffe pattern here - https://web.archive.org/web/20180523144305/http://ilovebuttonsbyemma.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/crochet-giraffe-pattern.html

I hope you have found this combo inspiring and I'd love to see how you use it! If you want to you can use hashtag #littledovecolourcombo to share your creations on social media.
All my blog content is provided free however if you would like to support the time involved in producing the blog and the information I share you can do so by 'buying me a coffee'
Thank you and happy crocheting!
