Cross Stitch FAQ

Cross Stitch FAQ
What is included in a cross stitch kit?
  • A colour picture of the finished design
  • A chart and instruction key
  • A needle
  • Zweigart fabric
  • Pre-sorted DMC threads
  • A guide to cross stitch

    PDF Charts

Most of my designs are now available in digital PDF format.

Post Brexit I am sadly no longer able to offer the PDF option direct through my website at this time. Digital download products are subject to VAT when sold to residents of the UK and EU countries regardless of a business's VAT status. I now use my Etsy shop to offer my designs in PDF format as they deal with all the technicalities of the VAT charges for me.

If you choose this option you will get the download link by email so it is vital you give your correct email address at the time of purchase. It is advisable to save the file to the device straight away.

If you have any problems downloading your file(s) just send me an email at info@littledovedesigns.co.uk

Please note digital products are non-refundable

    Personalisation Service

This item is an add on for eligible cross stitch kits only. Only the existing text details in their existing places in the design can be personalised. I don’t offer a full customisation service at the present time.

How do I frame my finished sampler?

I would recommend having your finished piece professionally framed if you can. The fabric must be stretched and laced to ensure it lays flat and it's important to use correct mounts, glass etc so that the fabric and colours don't ruin in any way over the years.

What if I run out of thread in my kit?

There will be ample thread in your kit for you to complete the design once however stitching errors or knots occurring in the thread whilst stitching can cause you to run out occasionally. If you have run out of a particular thread due to a stitching error or knotting please contact me with the details of the product, where you purchased it from and the specific colour number you are short of so that I can send you some more of the required colour.
