The magnets used are very strong and very strong glue has been used to glue to top one to the minder. To make separating them easier and to prevent the top one from becoming unstuck from the actual minder due to the pulling force of the bottom magnet it is best to always keep something sandwiched between the two magnets such as a bit of fabric or card when not in use. When using rather than pull the two halves apart it is better to slide them apart. Needleminders are not toys and must be kept away form young children and pets
