My mum is a dressmaker (and crafter!) so I grew up surrounded by fabrics and haberdashery and spent many a time as a child accompanying her to the fabric and haberdashery shops. I used to love to look at all the fancy buttons and reels of pretty ribbons while she flicked through pattern books and fabrics. This design is inspired by her sewing room......full of buttons, ribbons, fabric, yarn, cotton reels and of course the sewing machine!
